This week in the Modern Quilt Block Series we are sewing up the Keystone Block. This graphic block is perfect for large-scale prints, and adding a dynamic element to your quilts. Follow along as I continue designing and sharing a new block pattern each week!
Keystone
In this block we are making an oversized flying geese unit. Don’t stress it though- I’m walking you through the process step-by-step in the video. I’ve also included a few of my favorite tools in the video description, to help you make the most of your time at the sewing machine.
In the video I walk you through the simple construction of this block. It is simple but effective! I have a feeling this block is going to end up being a part of lots of layout options in the coming weeks. I hope you enjoy the video and take a chance on the points if you haven’t yet!
This week the Keystone block is free, next week it will be available for purchase in my shop.
Pin now, sew later
Save to your favorite quilting boards for inspiration when you need it!
I hope you have a creative week!
Amy
PS – thanks for being part of this creative process!
Amy, I love your modern blocks but this one has so much potential for a child’s quit – especially adding the Simple cabin or Three Squared block!
