This week in the Modern Quilt Block Series we are sewing Four Corners – breaking up the block into smaller units is a fun way to add interest and more fabrics! For instance, you could have a different fabric in every blue square in the block that I made.

Are you making plans for your fall projects? This series is a great way to explore and try new fabric combinations without taking on a big time investment.

Four Corners

Creating with fabric always brightens my day, and gives me a calm to carry on. This block is perfect for a therapy sew, because it doesn’t require too much effort — just be sure you don’t sew the wrong side together like I did! I added links to the video for my seam ripper tips, and how I pin to match seams too – I don’t want you to think I do it perfectly the first time every time! My seam ripper and I get along well.

What’s your favorite layout option? The options are endless! I hope you are inspired, and have a chance to play with fabric today.

This week the Four Corners block is free, next week it will be available for purchase in my shop.

Pin now, sew later

Thanks so much for sewing with me!

PS – If you made it here – thanks! I’d love it if you took a minute to share this post or video with your favorite quilting groups online. Many thanks!
