This week in the Modern Quilt Block Series we are sewing up the Slats block. The rectangles in this block create rhythm, and fun lay out options. Follow along as I continue designing and sharing a new block pattern each week!
Slats
Don’t stress out over all the rectangles – it’s still simple to sew! Double-check your 1/4″ seam allowance, before you get started for the best results with this block. Creating interest without overwhelm is always welcome in our quilting projects!
Take a few minutes to watch the video for my simple construction and pressing tips, and step-by-step instructions for making this unique block. And the layout options are so fun! Even on its own, this block makes some great quilt tops, and I can’t wait to see more of them in fabric!
