This week in the Modern Quilt Block Series we are sewing up the Tetrad block. This block uses simple (tiny) shapes for graphic outcomes. Follow along as I continue designing and sharing a new block pattern each week!

Tetrad

Don’t stress out over the small pieces – it’s still simple to sew! We are strip piecing and cutting segments to create the little rows. Double-check your 1/4″ seam allowance, before you get started for the best results with this block. Also – I made an error in making my block. I left it in the video. Perfection is overrated, AND the pattern is correct.

Take a few minutes to watch the video for my simple construction tips, and step-by-step instructions for making this unique block. And the layout options are so fun! Even on its own, this block makes some great quilt tops, and I can’t wait to see more of them in fabric!

This week the Tetrad block is free, next week it will be available for purchase in my shop.

Pin now, sew later

Save to your favorite quilting boards for inspiration when you need it!

I’m so glad you are here, thank you for stopping by.

I hope you have a creative week!

Amy

PS – I’d love for you to share this with your quilting friends online – thanks!
