March is National Quilting Month, and my Tipsy Triangle quilt has been at the top of my mind and I’m excited to host a quilt-along with YOU! This is the perfect stress-free project that includes lots of opportunities to make a unique quilt.

Tipsy Triangle Quilt-Along

The Tipsy Triangle pattern includes four sizes, from baby to queen. It’s a great introduction to improv piecing, and really scrap friendly! If improv makes you nervous, be sure to stick with me all month long. I’ll be sharing videos about my process, and favorite tools as I go.

I’m still fabric shopping trying to decide exactly what I want my quilt to look like – stay tuned for that soon!

You can start the quilt-along anytime, I will send you information about getting started and where to find all the video instruction that you will need to begin.

In the videos, I plan to share how to effectively use your scraps, color palette options, trimming a 1/4″ seam allowance quickly, as well as potential layout ideas. The shapes that are created when the quilt is sewn together is really fun!

This Quilt-Along is perfect for beginner quilters, and more experienced quilters looking to explore improv without overwhelm. It’s really a fun pattern to sew up and I hope that you’ll join me!

I’ll be doing at least 60 x 75 maybe bigger. Found about 4 yards of neutral backing at Village Dry Goods on their 5 x 5 weekend and have some grunge in a coordinating neutral that will make the back ground interesting. And plenty of charm packs so ready to go.

Looking forward to the Tipsy Triangle quilt a long. I have that issue of Curated Quilts – actually ALL the issues and highly recommend Curated Quilts to everyone. Sorry I’ll miss the Instagram postings since I don’t have a smart phone.

I’ve had this pattern for a while and hope to get one created as a wedding gift – I have four weddings coming up in 2020. I’ll be making a big size and I’ll need to alter the background fabric as I don’t have enough yardage in my stash for the full amount so I’ll need to figure out how I’ll “design” that to happen.
