Adding unique fabrics to this bold flying geese unit will add a ton of interest! The next installment in the Modern Quilt Block Series is Going Up.
Going Up
In the video, I share my tips for making one flying geese unit with all the points, best ways to trim, and my favorite ruler to use.
Be sure to watch for tips on reading seams too. Those points can’t be missed when you are watching them as you sew too!
This week the Going Up block is free, next week it will be available for purchase in my shop.
Pin now, sew later
Save to your favorite quilting boards for inspiration when you need it!
Also included in the video are some fun layout possibilities for this block. I can’t wait to see what you make!
Happy quilting,
Amy

Cool fabric! I’m using your white with ovals as a background in a mystery quilt right now. It’s that last yard or so on the bolt. Surprised me to see it in your block today! Do many people use the Single Hole or Straight Stitch throat plate these days? It sure helps avoid that point being pulled down into the machine. Love the purple fingernails, too!
