I’m not sure about you, but I always love having a fresh bouquet of flowers around the house. The breath of fresh flowers always makes me smile, much like this finished quilt.

Bouquet

I finished this quilt nearly two years ago and had fun making a block again for a video tutorial. Bouquet was designed for my Wanderlust collection of fabrics for Moda Fabrics.

The bright palette of strawberry, fuschia, yellow, orange and green with a few neutrals mixed in, left me no choice but to design a flower quilt.

Stitch & Flip is used throughout the Bouquet quilt blocks. Using this method makes all the angles in the block really simple. No need to work with a lot of triangles. We cut squares and rectangles to bring these blocks together with ease.

Watch the video for a few fabric selections, and my process for piecing the block. Details like how I sew for success with my points, the first time. And keeping the mirrored images top of mine while stitching.

Video Tutorials

I’ve committed myself to share weekly videos, starting with all the basics! I would love for you to pop over and leave a comment on the video, and subscribe to my channel while you are there. In your comment, let me know what you would like to see in a video tutorial.

I’d love for you to share the video with a friend that is new to quilting. Or on your Pinterest boards. As a more experienced quilter, we can forget all the basics that we’ve learned along the way. It’s easy to gloss over them when speaking with a new quilter.
