Hey there! I’m sharing new quilts today – City Block and Double Dash – keep reading for details.
*Just as I was gaining traction in this space of posting regularly, then deadlines stacked up, and something had to give. I hope you are well and finding time for your creative outlet often. It can be a struggle, I know.
I finished these two quilts, City Block and Double Dash, a couple of weeks ago, just in time to take some flat shots and finish up new patterns for you.
City Block
My City Block quilt was inspired by a random poster I spotted a while back. That said, I don’t even remember where I saw it, just that it was a jolt of inspiration that I had to sketch out right away. A few weeks later I took the time to adjust the design until I had a workable quilt design that I was excited to make.
Bonus: it’s Jelly Roll friendly! The fabric collection featured is Botanica for Moda. It includes super pretty florals that are bold and fun, and great tonal fabrics to round out the collection.
The City Block pattern includes four sizes; Lap, Throw, Twin and Queen. The dimensions and fabric requirements are available in my shop.
Double Dash
Double Dash is a geometric quilt design that I created while working in EQ8, on accident. Definitely a happy accident! I like to allow myself time to just explore ideas in the program, and decided it made the perfect counterpoint to City Block.
There are many ways to turn the blocks and create a unique quilt, however, I’m a sucker for a solid geometric pattern. I would love to see this quilt made with prints too!
The Double Dash pattern includes four sizes too; Baby, Throw, Twin, and Queen. The dimensions and fabric requirements are available in my shop.
I made a quick intro video for City Block and Double Dash too! It’s nice to see the quilting and fabrics up close this way.
These new patterns are available for download now and the paper version will be printed in the next couple of months. Don’t miss out on the introductory pricing available now.
Happy Quilting,
Amy
