This week in the Modern Quilt Block Series we are sewing up the Tilted block. The 45-degree angles add a great design element to this block, and it’s simple to sew! Follow along as I continue designing and sharing a new block pattern each week.

Don’t stress out over those angles – I’m not going to make you cut them! To keep this block simple, I’ve cut rectangles and added the angle at the sewing machine. Creating interest without overwhelm is always welcome in our quilting projects!
Take a few minutes to watch the video for my simple construction tips, and step-by-step instructions for making this unique block. And the layout options are so fun! My kids weren’t as excited as I was, but I think you will appreciate them all. Even on its own, this block makes some great quilt tops, and I can’t wait to see more of them in fabric!
