The Modern Quilt Block Series is starting simple with the Privacy Window block. I love the option to make simple quilts with a variety of great fabrics, and this is the perfect beginning.
Privacy Window
Modern fabrics call for a modern approach to quilt designs. The large scale prints and adorable directional prints sometimes feel limiting, but that’s not the case with this block.
Since this block has minimal pieces, it is quick to cut and quick to piece. It’s great for fussy cutting like I did in my block, but works really well with small scale prints too.
It’s a great block for the beginner, but also fun for the more experienced quilter wanting a fast project. You’ll find that most of the blocks in this series are great for beginners, and I hope you’ll share with friends and family in your life looking to learn.
