This week in the Modern Quilt Block Series we are sewing up the Spectrum block. Adding a gradient of color is fun and creates so many options for you. Follow along as I continue designing and sharing a new block pattern each week!
Big or small, 9-patch units add so much interest to quilts! In this block I’ve added a gradient of color in the 9-patch that extends to the surrounding rectangles. And the light portion of the block adds great diagonals to the layouts too!
Take a few minutes to watch the video for my simple construction tips, and pressing tips to nest all those little seams. And the layout options are so fun! Even on its own, this block makes some great quilt tops, and I can’t wait to see more of them in fabric!
This week the Spectrum block is free, next week it will be available for purchase in my shop.
