This week in the Modern Quilt Block Series we are sewing up the Traffic block. Experimenting with simple shapes is a lot of fun! Follow along as I continue designing and sharing a new block pattern each week!

If two squares in the center are good, what about three? The only way I know for sure is to try! I start on the computer with the idea and get excited by the options, as usual. Making this block is straightforward and fun and the layout ideas have me excited to sew another project. Watch my video for tips on easing fabrics as you sew at the sewing machine.

There are so many fun ways to put this block into a quilt top, I hope you like the layout ideas as much as I do!

This week the Traffic block is free, next week it will be available for purchase in my shop.

Pin now, sew later

Save to your favorite quilting boards for inspiration when you need it!

I hope you have a creative week!

Thank you for posting these modern blocks each week. I love each design, and how they work so well together when you combine a couple of blocks for a quilt. Thank you, Amy!
