This week in the Modern Quilt Block Series we are sewing up the Waves block. An accentuated triangle adds a ton of movement to any quilt top. Follow along as I continue designing and sharing a new block pattern each week!
Waves
The Log Cabin style of sewing makes this block a synch to sew up. Guard that bias as you begin sewing and enjoy the stunning results. Before you begin sewing, be sure to check your 1/4″ seam allowance. With so many seams in the small space, being accurate will pay off in your results.
In the video I walk you through cutting the needed triangles, and then trimming the block square. My included tips will help you to have great results – and can be applied to lots of quilting projects. As you continue to grow your quilting skills, sewing more detailed blocks keeps it interesting. But it doesn’t have to be hard – enjoy!
