This week in the Modern Quilt Block Series we are sewing up the Linework block. This block might look challenging, but I’ve simplified it so that it’s fun to sew. Follow along as I continue designing and sharing a new block pattern each week!
Linework
Don’t stress out over those tiny rectangles – I’m not going to make you cut them! To keep this block simple, I’ve cut strips for strip-piecing, then show you how to cut square segments. Creating interest without overwhelm is always welcome in our quilting projects!
Take a few minutes to watch the video for my simple construction tips, and step-by-step instructions for making this unique block. And the layout options are so fun! Even on its own, this block makes some great quilt tops, and I can’t wait to see more of them in fabric!
